Telegram

Telegram is the most stable and feature-rich messaging channel available on UltraClaw. It supports voice transcription, inline media, and maintains a persistent connection that survives reboots and network changes without re-pairing.
If you use iMessage as your primary channel, Telegram is the ideal second channel. It gives you a backup that’s accessible from any device — including Android, Windows, and Linux.

Why Telegram

  • Rock-solid stability — once connected, Telegram stays connected. No re-pairing, no dropped sessions.
  • Voice transcription — send a voice message and your agent transcribes it, understands it, and responds in text.
  • Cross-platform — works on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, and the web.
  • Rich formatting — your agent can respond with bold, italic, code blocks, and links.
  • Large file support — share files up to 2GB.

Setup

Connect Telegram from your UltraClaw dashboard in under a minute.
1

Open your dashboard

Go to ultraclaw.ai/dashboard and navigate to Channels.
2

Click Connect Telegram

You’ll see a link to your agent’s Telegram bot. Click it to open the bot in Telegram.
3

Start the conversation

Tap Start in Telegram to activate the channel. Your agent will confirm the connection with a welcome message.
Your Telegram bot is private to you. Only users you’ve allowlisted can message it.

Configuration

Allowlists

By default, your Telegram bot only responds to your account. You can add additional Telegram users by their username or user ID from the dashboard.

Group Policies

You can optionally add your agent to Telegram group chats. Configure group behavior in the dashboard:
  • Respond to all messages — your agent replies to every message in the group
  • Respond when mentioned — your agent only replies when tagged with @
  • Disabled — your agent ignores group messages entirely
Enabling group responses uses tokens for every message in the group, even if the message isn’t directed at your agent (in “respond to all” mode). Monitor your token usage if you add your agent to active groups.

Voice Messages

Send a voice message in Telegram and your agent will:
  1. Transcribe the audio to text
  2. Process your request
  3. Reply with a text response
This is perfect for hands-free interactions — send a voice note while driving, cooking, or walking and get a thoughtful text response you can read later.

Best Practices

  • Use Telegram for voice — it has the best voice message experience of any channel
  • Pin the bot — pin your agent’s chat in Telegram so it’s always easy to find
  • Try inline commands — Telegram supports slash commands like /status and /help natively
  • Share documents — Telegram handles PDFs, spreadsheets, images, and other files beautifully

Stability

Telegram uses a persistent bot connection that does not require session maintenance on your end. Unlike some other channels:
  • No QR re-scanning — connect once, it works forever
  • Survives reboots — your agent reconnects automatically
  • No session expiry — the connection never times out
This makes Telegram the most reliable channel for users who want guaranteed uptime.
